A high-growth global healthcare company is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join their UK headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. **The Role**
The company house the only national TB testing laboratory exclusively dedicated to performing the T-SPOT.TB test. You would play a key role as part of the diagnostic testing service provided to UK clinical services as well as participate in ground-breakingresearch including collaboration with vaccine development companies.
Responsibilities as Laboratory Supervisor will include
- Leading the diagnostic lab, providing high-level technical support to technicians, scientists and customers
- Managing the operation of the facility, organise work schedules and allocate tasks, supervise the performance of the equipment, methodologies, and personnel of the facility
- Providing training to others, acquiring and disseminating information and conducting research in support of ODL programs
- BSc, or equivalent experience, in a lifesciences discipline
- Experience in a supervisory / leadership post within a laboratory environment, training and mentoring teams
- Thorough practical knowledge and experience in laboratory techniques
- Familiarity with Quality System concepts and requirements including GLP, GMP and ISO systems
- Understanding of basic laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including hazardous chemical handling
