Enterprise Adviser

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Generator, the university’s centre for student enterprise (formerly known as the i3Centre), on a 12-month fixed-term contract (0.6 FTE).
The Enterprise Adviser delivers a range of activities designed to help students and graduates to develop entrepreneurial skills and to start and grow new ventures.
The role-holder will provide direct support to student entrepreneurs via 1-1 appointments and workshops delivered as part of our annual competition the Enterprise Challenge, which attracts over 100 applicants each year.
The role-holder will also be responsible for recruiting and retaining a team of entrepreneurial mentors who support a range of events on a voluntary basis. They will additionally provide support to the recruitment and monitoring process of the university’s graduate Start Up Visa programme, assisted by the Enterprise Officer.
The role will suit somebody with a keen interest in entrepreneurship who has experience either of running their own business or projects (and who might want to use the part-time hours of this role to continue working on their own projects on the side), or who has experience of supporting entrepreneurs via training and education programmes.
The job will be based at the university’s recently refurbished enterprise hub the Powerhouse, situated in our Greenwich Maritime Campus, a UNESCO world heritage site. There will also be flexibility to spend at least one day per week working from home.
The university welcomes people from diverse and underrepresented communities who can help the university to achieve its mission.
We are making significant strides to understand and continuously improve our employees’ experience and we are committed to implementing progressive diversity talent management.
