My client based in St Ives Cambridgeshire is seeking a paraplanner to join their successful business, who specialise in offering independent advice on financial planning, wealth management and employee benefits for individuals and businesses.

Job Summary

The role of the Paraplanner is to support the Financial Advisers when advising clients on financial strategies, plans and products, producing Suitability Reports for presentation and ensuring that the business is compliant with FCA and MiFID II regulations.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Supporting the Financial Advisers in research and analysis to meet Client needs and objectives
- Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow
- Updating the Financial Advisers and other staff with technical Information
- Preparation of Client Financial Plans and Suitability Reports
- Maintaining awareness of and compliance with FCA and other regulations
- Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
- Analysing Client data and preparing cash flow analyses using Voyant where appropriate
- Thorough checking and submission of business to the appropriate provider/system
- Ensuring all regulatory and compliance standards are met consistently
- Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties as required
- Participation in client meetings with the Financial Advisers when required
- Providing support for the Financial Advisers allowing them to focus on Client relationships and meeting business targets
- The role holder will keep up to date with legislative and industry changes which affect the business and its clients.

**Skills & abilities**
- Strong verbal and written communication
- IT literate, especially in MS Office
- Knowledge of Voyant an advantage
- A pleasant and confident telephone manner
- A positive attitude
- A team player
- A strong eye for detail
- Excellent organisational skills

**Qualifications & experience**
- The jobholder would be expected to hold Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or be part qualified with a view to achieving within 12 months
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a paraplanning role.
