Duties and responsibilities Complete holistic trauma-informed assessments for therapy with parents/carers, independent young people (16+ year olds) and children. As part of this, to make informed decisions about risk assessment, management and the suitability of service provision. Provide therapeutic intervention based on an assessment of a child/ young person's presenting needs. Provide time-limited therapy including shorter-term (up to 12 sessions) and longer-term (up to 24 sessions) work in accordance with The Green Houses agreed therapeutic support framework.

Manage a caseload of children, young people and families who have experienced sexual abuse, where the abuse has already been reported to statutory services. Work in partnership with key agencies to coordinate support and to liaise with referrers, other professionals and agencies as appropriate (for example Social Workers, Police, CAMHS practitioners, healthcare professionals, CYPSVAs (CYP Sexual Violence Advisors), education staff, voluntary sector professionals). Attend multi-agency meetings relating to clients. Work alongside parent(s)/carers to develop a shared understanding of their child's emotions and behaviour; sharing psychoeducation and ideas for supporting their child in easily understood language.

To complete regular therapy reviews with CYP and/ or their parent(s)/ carers throughout the course of the therapy process. To write clear, accessible summaries at the end of the therapy work for both CYP/parents and relevant professionals. Participate in weekly team meetings (including therapy team reflective case discussion meetings) Work in partnership with family support workers when therapy and family support work are concurrent. To assess risk and safeguarding issues presenting during assessments and therapy sessions and raise concerns in line with internal Childrens and Adults Safeguarding policies and procedures.

To respond to the needs of CYP and families in a trauma-focused way. Service administration To maintain confidential, up-to-date, and accurate records of all sessions taking into account the sensitive nature of this work particularly regarding pre-trial therapy (where a disclosure remains open to the criminal justice system) and statutory investigations. To document case information and all contact with CYP, families and professionals appropriately, and in a timely manner, on the Case Management system, Oasis. To liaise appropriately with the Clinical Lead and CYP Administrator with regards to client caseload and to provide notice when spaces for new clients will be available.

Data administration and evaluation Use current databases and systems to enter and extract data for internal and external reporting of the service where necessary. To complete all requirements relating to data collection and outcome monitoring for the service to support the progressive development of The Green Houses evidence-based practice. To contribute to the design and review of these processes as required. Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures and all legislation connected to your work.

General responsibilities Adhere to safeguarding procedures outlined in The Green Houses Children and Adult Safeguarding Policies. To maintain up to date Safeguarding Training for Children and Adults and have a good working knowledge of current local and national safeguarding guidance and legislation. Ensure that all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety and other policies outlined in The Green House Bristols Employee Induction Pack and Handbook. To contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation by helping to improve systems and procedures.

Work with the team to facilitate effective communication across the organisation. Contribute expertise and knowledge to organisational discussions. e.g., service development, changes in policy. To attend and making good use of external clinical supervision and internal case
- and line management supervision meetings.

To maintain professional registration with regulating body and CPD requirements (where relevant based on qualifications) and attend internal training sessions as requested. To adhere to the BACP/UKCP Ethical Framework and HCPC as implemented by The Green House. Assist with basic house-keeping requirements. To be ambassador for The Green House and to work within the values of the charity.

To be passionate and proactive in the delivery of services. To support The Green Houses social media and website by providing resources and information to keep it up to date. To undertake other duties as required in keeping with the aims of this post. Although the core duties are set out within this Job Description, a flexible approach to work is essential.

The CYP Therapist may be required to adapt their working style to take account of changes to working practices.
