**General Information**

Principle Cleaning Services is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Day Operative. This position offers the opportunity to work within a critical facility building, focusing on cleaning duties in the front-of-house area. While the cleaning tasks are standard in nature, adherence to client protocols is essential to ensuring the highest standards of security, cleanliness, and service are maintained.

**Job Purpose**

The Day Operative is responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning tasks in the front-of-house area, including general hygiene, external cleaning, building fabric maintenance, reactive cleaning, barrier mats, and litter picking in a critical facility building. While the duties are standard, the operative must adhere to client protocols to meet the specific security requirements of the facility.

**Responsibilities**
- **Standard Cleaning**: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and surface cleaning, to maintain cleanliness in the front-of-house area.
- **Hygiene Maintenance**: Ensure hygiene standards are upheld by cleaning and sanitising washrooms, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- **External Cleaning**:Clean external areas, such as entranceways, walkways, and outdoor seating areas, to enhance the appearance and cleanliness of the facility.
- **Building Fabric Maintenance**:Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of building fabric, including walls, ceilings, windows, and doors, as required.
- **Reactive Cleaning**:Respond promptly to spillages, accidents, and other cleaning emergencies, following established protocols for effective resolution.
- **Barrier Mats**: Maintain barrier mats at entrance points to prevent dirt and debris from entering the facility, ensuring they are clean and presentable at all times.
- **Litter Picking**:Conduct regular litter picking in outdoor areas surrounding the facility to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
- **Adherence to Protocols**: Follow client protocols and guidelines for cleaning and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with specific requirements for the critical facility building.
- **Documentation**:Complete cleaning logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner, as required.

**Person Specification**
- **Cleaning Experience**:Previous experience in standard cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washroom cleaning, is preferred.
- **Attention to Detail**:Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- **Client Protocol Adherence**:Ability to follow client protocols and guidelines for cleaning activities, ensuring compliance with specific requirements for the critical facility building.
- **Reliability**:Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

**Skills**
- **Health and Safety Awareness**:Basic understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures relevant to cleaning operations.
- **Communication**:Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, following instructions, and providing updates as required.
