Donnelly Group is recruiting This is an exciting time to join our growing team. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Department in an entry-level Accounts Assistant role. This position may be ideally suited to a school leaver with an interest in pursuing a career in business or accountancy. Full training will be provided.
**About The Role**
The role will require you to perform some of the following duties but also to have a working knowledge of all areas of the accounts function including:
**Key Responsibilities**:
The role will involve performing some or all of the following duties:
- Preparation of daily lodgements and posting to the appropriate ledgers
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Reconciling sales ledger accounts and supporting credit control activities
- Processing and verifying purchase invoices
- Identifying and investigating invoice discrepancies
- Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Analysing monthly credit card expenditure
- Preparing ad-hoc reports for management as required
- Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers
- Carrying out additional ad-hoc duties to support the finance function
**Person Specification**:
- Ideally suited to a recent school leaver with an interest in business or accountancy
- IT literate with strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Assisting with ad-hoc duties as and when required

**Required Criteria**
- Excellent IT skills, proficient in Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills, able to work unsupervised and plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Ability to work as part of a team
