We are privileged to provide them invaluable skills to support them into Primary School. Our facilities have been newly refurbished with outdoor areas and offers vast resources aligned with the EYFS curriculum. We have an average of 45 children between the age of 2-5.
We are looking for an experienced SENCO with a L3 qualification to work at out Beckenham setting. A pivotal role, you will be working on a one-to-one basis with our SEN children whilst working alongside our practitioners. A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum required with the ability to identify individual needs of your children. Capable of building relationships, gaining trust and demonstrating a confident and assertive approach with both your key children and their parents/carers.
You will be organised and experienced to implement targets, creating IEPs and supporting with EHCPs. You will also be responsible for creating routines, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating the needs of each individual child though detailed observations. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a patient, kind, fun, non-judgemental and caring disposition.
Finally, you will be proactive, enjoy continuous improvements and have a passion for supporting children to succeedIf you have experience of being a Safeguarding Officer, even better
This is a part time role, we are able to discuss flexible hours however a Wednesday afternoon is essential.
**The Role**:
- Identifying needs of SEN children through detailed observations
- Developing Support Plans including IEPs and EHCPs
- Collaboration with external agencies and parents
- Setting targets, monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of needs
- Supporting needs at a 1-1 level
- Observations of SEN children
- Building solid relationships with the child and their family
- Safeguarding experience preferred
- Kind, passionate, caring, patient, non-judgemental and fun essential
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
