Procurement and Supply Assistant Level 3

The Procurement Team is responsible for acquiring goods, services and works needed to support the requirements of Wessex Water.

**What you'll do**:
We manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best products and services are provided to the business.
- You will play and integral part in supporting all areas of the business by sourcing goods and services requested.
- Placing of orders and contracts on behalf of Wessex Water.
- Onboarding new suppliers.
- Supplier management and administration.
- Support the tam and team leaders to deliver to the business all necessary procurement requirements, sometimes working to tight deadlines.

**What you'll need**:
We are looking for someone who is personable, and able to communicate and engage with a wide variety of people.

You should have good attention to detail and be a proactive and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic.

Someone who enjoys the challenge of achieving best value and is adaptable and flexible would be ideal for this role.

To be eligible for apprenticeship funding, you must have lived in the UK for 3 years or more with Right to Work.

**Apprenticeship course information**:
The apprenticeship standard that will be completed is the CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) Level 3, which has a typical duration of 18 months and finishes with an end point assessment.

Depending on your experience level, you could complete the Level 4 CIPS Apprenticeship which would last 24 months.

The contract of employment for completing this apprenticeship will last for the entire duration of the apprenticeship and end point assessment period.

If you do not have a GCSE Grade 4/C or above in maths and English, you will be required to complete functional skills courses alongside the apprenticeship.

Depending on the department, availability of roles and success upon completing the apprenticeship, you could be offered a permanent role with us.
