**Endoscopy Admissions Coordinator**

**Band 4**

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team providing a service to ensure that endoscopy appointments are scheduled for patients within national targets. There will need to be close liaison with consultants, patients, medical and nursing staff, support services and service managers as part of the role.

This is a multi-skilled and busy role with frequent requirements for concentration and where the work pattern can be unpredictable with regular interruptions. Handling of complex and sensitive information and the need for confidentiality is integral to the post. The post holder will require a working knowledge of IT systems, in addition to any specific requirements for each specialty. The role will range from booking patients for preoperative assessment and endoscopy, handling GP and patient queries and monitoring the admitted waiting lists.

The post holder will be expected to work without direct supervision and will be expected to liaise and communicate as appropriate.
