A rare opportunity to join a top notch building services manufacturer and contractor as an Estimator focusing on Mechanical Building Services. What makes this firm all the more special is that they are not based on an office park on the edge of nowhere,but close to Bradford city centre, have excellent transport links and a talented in house design department to support you.
There are two strands to this; they are keen to appoint someone who meets the brief below, while also being able to train someone who is numerate, has knowledge of mechanical building services and keen to secure an office based role.
As with all Estimator roles, the focus of this one is for you to use your commercial judgement and technical knowledge to help win work for the firm without buying it.
You'll be able to read project specifications, schedules & drawings as easily as your favourite book while building rapport with clients and suppliers as easily as a cool drink goes down on a hot summer day.
We expect that you are the person who gets a buzz from looking at the detail to find a competitive advantage and knows how to add value to the process for the client as well as profit for your own company.
They use Ensign as their key estimating package along with AutoCAD for drafting; prior knowledge of both will be useful, but the key thing is being able to pull costings together fluently and comprehensively.
You'll receive support in using their systems, chance to put your commercial acumen to good use and opportunity to liaise with people outside the organisation; this is one company where they believe an Estimator shouldn't be stuck in a corner, but in the middlewith a view of everything and the greater career opportunities that brings.
Naturally you will need to have experience of estimating in the HVAC market and any specific ductwork or ventilation experience you have will be well rewarded.
