**Job Introduction**
About the role:
The Consents Manger (CM) role is part of an area-based delivery team and reports directly to the Consents & Engagement Area Lead for that area. The CM is responsible for ensuring that all Consents for the area are effectively managed and delivered to ensurethe needs of the integrated project delivery team, the client and the external stakeholders are met, and the project can be successfully delivered on time and on budget. The CM will work seamlessly with environmental, town planning and highways specialists,as well as design and construction colleagues to ensure that all consents requirements are delivered in accordance with the HS2 Act and all other applicable legislation.
The Consents Manager will monitor and report on compliance with consents and associated conditions throughout the design, construction and handover phases of the contract, working in accordance with project-wide policies and procedures.

**Role Responsibility**
- Cascading consents requirements and restrictions across the area delivery team and monitor and report on compliance with the consent conditions.
- Reporting on area progress and performance for consenting activities to the area leadership team, and support project-wide reporting at a functional level.
- Identify, manage and mitigate risks arising from consenting activities within the delivery area, escalating within the commercial and delivery teams and/or the functional lead as required.
- Work alongside stakeholder and community engagement colleagues to ensure wider engagement activities required to support the consenting process are delivered in accordance with the agreed plans and procedures.
- Demonstrable project or consent management experience, including project controls / reporting experience
- Experience of consenting activities on complex construction projects and/or major infrastructure delivery
- Proven ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships and effective channels of communication in a pressurised and highly time sensitive environment
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Problem solving, facilitation and negotiation skills
- Experience of one or more of the key consent specialisms of Town Planning, Environment or Traffic & Highways
- Experience of delivering consents under an enabling Act of Parliament (such as HS2 or Crossrail) or a major Development Consent Order
- Project management or communications / PR qualification
- Membership of relevant association
**About the Company**

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the constructionof site compounds.
