We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. **Essential**:
- Previous Experience Required
- NVQ 3 Preferred
- NVQ 2 Essential
- Care Planning Skills Required
- Medication Competent
- Computer Skills Required
**Duties**:
- Manage and administer medications.
- Lead Care Staff Team.
- Liaise with MDT (District Nurses etc)
- Facilitate GP reviews
- Respond to changing needs of residents
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Administer medications and assist with medication management
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and assisting residents
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care activities
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathy and compassion for elderly individuals
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Patience and understanding in dealing with challenging situations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.44 per hour
