**Salary**: £28,000 to £33,000 DOE
**Contract**: Full time & Permanent
**Hours**: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)

IQA, in conjunction with Elecnor as part of the Telecommunication market in the UK, has been awarded an FTTH contract on behalf of Cityfibre. We are now looking to recruit experiencedprofessionals in Newcastle for this long-term project.
**About the Role**:
We are currently looking to recruit skilled and experienced Overhead Engineers to be part of our team installing, connecting, and testing our fibre optic cables on new and existing PIA poles.
**Day to day tasks are as follows (but not limited to)**:

- Installation and splicing of cables
- Installation of passive equipment
- Fibre handling and testing
- Interpreting site documentation and installing equipment in line with the specification
- Completing relevant handover documentation and site reports
- Carrying out site surveys
- Fibre Splicing experience (required)
- iOLM testing
- Openreach - 1 year (preferred)
- Driving License (required)
- PIA Accreditation - SA001, SA002, S7
- A valid NRSWA Street works Operative Licence Unit 2
- IPAF certificate (preferred)
- Asbestos Awareness
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Manual Handling
- Hold or have held Openreach overhead and fibre accreditation modules.
- Have extensive experience of working on the Openreach network.
- Confident working at heights
- Excellent communication skills
- Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices
