**Who we are looking for?**
The purpose of the role is to oversee day to day delivery of the Maths and English qualifications from Entry Level 1 through to Functional Skills (Level 2). The post holder will be required to have significant knowledge of how to engage and develop students Maths and English functional skills and separately support the personal and social development which ensures personalised learning.
**Duties and Responsibilities include**:
- Delivery of English and Maths qualifications from Entry Level 1 through to Functional Skills.
- Carry out initial assessment of the potential or actual student, including any risks, or his / her needs and requirements in respect of the service on offer.
- Risk assess and take the necessary actions in respect of any activities / engagement with service users including personal safety.
- Actively engage with students in decisions that affect them, through involvement activities ranging from providing information, requesting feedback, consulting, to facilitating participation by the student.
- Develop relationships / liaise with appropriate external groups / agencies in support of services users’ needs and requirements.
- Develop links with local employers to increase work placement opportunities for students.
- Work with colleagues and coordinate activity across the team and with other stakeholders, including attending meetings, to ensure the service is achieving its aims.
- Work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting as required. This includes maintaining professional relationships and appropriate confidentiality of information.
- Meet individual performance targets and contribute towards meeting team performance targets in respect of the service.
- Use resources efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain up to date records and produce relevant reports as required. This includes inputting information to appropriate systems as per contractual and Nacro requirements, and producing required evidence and reports in a timely manner.
- Ensuring a planned programme is delivered to all students, monitoring learning programmes and monitoring students in work placements
**Experience required**:
- A teaching Qualification
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade c/4 or above)
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
