**The Role**:
**Customer Service Adviser**

**Salary: £16,000 - £21,000 (dependent on experience)**
**Full time**
**Permanent Contract**
**Location: Willington or Darlington, County Durham**
**Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with 1 hour lunch**

**About the role**:
Previous customer interaction experience is desirable but not essential although you will be expected to bring a positive, people orientated approach to everything you do. You will relish being part of a truly customer focussed team. In return, you will receive full training to become licensed to sell and administer NFU Mutual products in a friendly and supportive environment.

**About you**:

- Ability to thrive in a busy team working environment.
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and other team members.
- An enthusiasm to learn.
- Confident, friendly telephone manner as well as the ability to communicate verbally & in writing.
- Good IT skills - basic knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
- Enjoy problem solving and working as part of team.
- Be prompt, reliable and trustworthy.
- We require a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
- Ability to travel to work at Willington or Darlington but on occasions to our other locations in Willington, Darlington and Barnard Castle.
- An understanding of agriculture would be beneficial but is not essential.

This role falls under the Insurance Distribution Directive. This means there is a requirement for Continuous Professional Development in role, in addition to ongoing screening checks once in post.
