**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need, including children and seniors, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for those you support.
**Responsibilities**
- Deliver patient care with empathy and respect, catering to the individual needs of each person.
- Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to health guidelines.
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
- Provide support in behaviour management, helping individuals cope with challenging situations.
- Engage in childcare or senior care activities, fostering a nurturing environment.
- Perform heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans.
**Skills**
- Strong background in patient care, with experience in nursing homes or similar environments preferred.
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of relevant health regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
- Competence in meal preparation that meets dietary requirements.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist individuals with mobility challenges.
- A caring attitude towards providing support that promotes dignity and respect for all individuals.

Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour
