**Position Profile**
**Position**:Studio Print Operator and Artworker.
**Reports to**:Graphics Supervisor
**About us**:Established in 1985, Starlight Exhibitions (formerly Nomadic Display) is a dedicated team of people who are passionate about creating engaging exhibition stands for one-off and multiple events from our wide range of reusable products.
**Key Role**:Working within a studio you will be responsible for printing of all large format graphics, and you will work closely with the team to provide additional graphic artwork support as required. This role would be suitable for a new graduate, or one years’ experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare digital files received from Design for printing using RIP software. Quality control, Pantone colour references, scans, illustrations and logos.
- Liaise with the production team for approval of print tests and final print quality. Complete allocated work as scheduled advising on RIP times for larger files and limits to the print process.
- Maintain printers to a clean reliable condition, assessing ink and paper batch quality. Keep the correct environment and ensure that the work area is presentable for client visits.
- Maintain required paperwork and ensure daily back-up routine of work files are carried out. Advise the graphics Supervisor and MD of equipment or software failures.
- Preferable - applicant to have a good understanding / working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
- Comfortable in communicating with external clients, our internal sales and production teams with regards to client’s digital artwork and production of large format graphics,
- Training will be provided with regards to all aspects of the role.
**Education**:
- At least to GCSE level.
**Experience**:
- Minimum 1 years Mac experience
**Associated Skills/Knowledge/Abilities**:
- Competent working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
- Knowledge of print processes and colour management.
- Good communication skills, written and vocal.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Must be willing to work paid overtime as and when required.
**Salary**: £19,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
