About this opportunity...**
The British Red Cross has a fantastic new opportunity for a **Volunteer Management Transformation Officer** to join our Crisis and Emergency Response team where you will be responsible for the development of a higher quality day-to-day volunteerexperience, to significantly improve retention, motivation and satisfaction and deliver the best possible outcome for our volunteers.
You will work collaboratively with Volunteer Mobilisation to design and embed new volunteer management quality standards and ensure staff volunteer managers have the skills to successfully manage volunteers, taking a co-production approach with service volunteersand engagement with relevant stakeholders to share learning across the organisation.
You will shape a staff development plan to nurture skills, knowledge and confidence and to embed volunteer management quality standards as set by Volunteer Mobilisation, including reviewing staff job descriptions to ensure appropriate volunteer management responsibilitiesand skills are incorporated and recruited to, with the capacity to deliver.

The Health and Local Crisis Response service (HLCR) supports people in the space between hospital and home and responds to the needs of people in crisis following an emergency; maintaining an extensive network of external relationships across health, socialcare, and emergency services.

- You have experience of engaging, advising and negotiating with stakeholders within a changing and ambiguous environment
- You are confident designing and implementing processes that will streamline the volunteer journey
- You are data savvy, with experience of creating and using data and insight, sharing this with stakeholder and using it to inform the work of colleagues
- You can demonstrate knowledge of volunteer management in a service delivery context and you are a collaborator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, including volunteers
- You have an analytical mind, and have applied knowledge of metrics used in service delivery to measure performance
- You communicate in a clear and engaging way, keeping people informed in the right way at the right time and you're able to listen as much as speak, making the complex easy to understand
