The salary range of this role is £33,000 - £36,000 per annum depending on experience

**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced Financial Crime Specialist to support our Financial Crime Operations team at Tymit and act as the first line of defence against Fraud and Money Laundering.

As a senior member of the team you will have strong experience in both fraud & AML monitoring and be able to independently carry out investigations within the first line of defence. You will have regular interaction with the second line Compliance team.

**During your time at Tymit you will**
- Investigation on individual customer accounts for different fraud typologies
- Review transaction monitoring alerts
- Identify and investigate suspicious activity
- Identify trends and propose improvements to operational processes
- Draft internal SARs and escalating them to the second line of defence
- Review and investigate internal escalations from other teams within the business
- Engage with other banks and financial institutions about reports of fraudulent activity
- Review and action other disclosure requests (such as production orders)
- Carry out ongoing customer due diligence (e.g. PEPs & Sanctions)

**What you will bring along**
- Experience in transaction monitoring
- At least 1-2 year’s experience in fraud investigations for retail finance products
- Good understanding of AML regulations
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility for your own workload
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing priorities
- Previous experience in a UK FinTech
- Previous experience in a FinCrime role within a Consumer Credit firm
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICA)
