Housekeeper Advert - Acute Assessment Unit
Would you like to work in a friendly, supportive and innovative environment within a Trust which prides itself on providing high-quality services to the local community?
Are you able to work successfully as part of a busy team and provide excellent customer care skills? If yes, we are currently looking for a housekeeper who is highly motivated and enthusiastic to join our team.
Kingston Hospital’s experienced and friendly staff provides a supportive culture where there is the potential to forge a great career.
The Hospital is based in Kingston upon Thames, a bustling riverside town on the borders of London and Surrey. Kingston offers a wide variety of bars, cafes, restaurants and clubs and shopping to rival central London. Richmond Park is just a 15 minute walk from the Hospital and the Hospital is well served by public transport, with Norbiton Station on the doorstep. This allows you to jump on a train and arrive in central London, 12 miles away, in less than 30 minutes.
If you can demonstrate a caring, compassionate approach and want to work as part of a team that values each other then we would like to hear from you.
The housekeeper will work with the Nurse in Charge of the ward ensuring that all visitors are welcomed and that excellence in customer care and front of house services are provided.
This role will support and supplement those of the nursing staff and does not replace or supplement domestic services, but enhance the patient experience overall. The post holder will work as part of the unit team, being
responsible for keeping the unit neat, tidy, uncluttered and well presented; the daily stock of clinical supplies and for equipment cleaning and maintenance.
They will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable unit environment and will work flexibly being prepared to undertake those non-nursing duties designated by the Ward Sister/Nurse in Charge.
Trust Values
Kingston Hospital NHS Trust has five key values and we want to employ and work with people who share these values and demonstrate behaviours that support them. They are:
- Caring - Design and deliver care around each individual patient’s needs and wants.
- Safe - Make the safety of patients and staff our prime concern as safety comes first
- Responsible - All staff take responsibility for the hospital, its services and reputation
- Value Each Other - Value each other's contribution
- Inspiring - We always strive to empower each other to develop and deliver improvements to benefit our patients
