Kitchen Porter

**Job Overview**

Kitchen Porter required at the Walpole Bay Hotel duties will include washing cutlery, crockery, glassware, and breakfast cooking equipment both by hand and with a dishwasher, clearing rubbish, cleaning kitchen and prep area to a high standard. The hours usually will be 9am - 1 pm daily, 3-5 days a week including weekends however the applicant should be able to be flexible with hours.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your relevant skills and kitchen experience to assist in daily operations. **Responsibilities**

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and tidy.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly to support ongoing kitchen operations.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and labelling of ingredients.
- Dispose of waste correctly and maintain recycling practices within the kitchen.
- Support other kitchen staff as needed during busy service periods to ensure timely meal delivery.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel setting is advantageous but not essential.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week

- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
