The Home Care Worker will work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social and domestic support whilst adhering to the service user's individual care and support plan.
You will work closely with Health and Social Care colleagues to keep people safe and well to avoid unnecessary admission to hospital, or to support people to return home and live independently at home.

Unique to the region, the Home Care Team is run by Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT). As such you will benefit from all the resources available to NHS employees. HDFT provides 'outstanding' care to both our patients and our staff. We support staff through benefits, health and wellbeing initiatives and opportunities for personal and professional development.
- An inclusive and supportive culture - our Trust encourages staff to bring their whole selves to work and active Staff Networks identify areas for improvement.
- Staff Recognition - as well as regular appraisals, we recognise staff with our Making a Difference and Team of the Month Awards plus the Christmas Oscars.
- Employee Support and wellbeing - we have a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme, counselling service and fast track physiotherapy service for employees.
All designated tasks would be undertaken in accordance with agreed protocols drawn up by professionals working in the team. You will support people with a broad range of personal care tasks, such as, to wash and dress independently, encourage and motivate them with managing their nutrition and medicines and undertake health or therapeutic observations under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
