**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced Import Merchandiser to join our rapidly growing business. Working with the design and merch team, you will provide planning and forecasting for factories, manage deliveries and deal with forwarders, sea/air freights etc. to consolidate shipments of orders from various factories to ensure best rates. You will be responsible for managing goods coming in and liaison with the warehouse to provide all relevant paperwork prior to delivery to ensure smooth transition into stock. You will also be responsible for achieving seasonal budgets & KPI’s and support the merchandising function for the business to ensure that all relevant stakeholders have accurate data which can directly, pro-actively and consistently inform decisions relating to maximising profitability and contributing to overall business strategy and growth.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Liaising with factories - Acting as the main point of contact between Retailers & Far East production.
- Lead handover meetings with production, design and merch teams.
- Arrange and lead pre-production meetings.
- Responsible for Gold Seal checking and authorising shipment of goods.
- To oversee photographic samples and ensure orders and dates are agreed with the factories.
- Following up any supplier problems / issues which arise.
- Negotiating prices with factories to achieving margins - Responsible for initial costings, negotiation and order placement.
- Responsible for providing accounts with information to open letter of credits when required.
- Co-ordinate the checking and approval of invoices and packing lists.
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Fluent in Mandarin is essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Merchandiser is essential
- Strong computer literacy skills - Advanced excel user with confidence to manipulate data
- Analytical skills - Comfortable working with and strategically analysing data
- Communication skills - Excellent written and communication skills to build supplier relationships
- Experience working with suppliers is essential
- Strong commercial awareness - Knowledge of wider marketplace and context of broader business
- Strong analytical mindset and ability, with proven experience in an analytical role where Merchandising was applicable
- A creative problem solver & decision maker
- Able to analyse and create actionable insights
- An understanding of Club L London’s brand vision and customer profile
- Will have a great understanding of Womenswear fashion with knowledge and how to grow a business profitably
- Decisive decision-making skills
- Hard-working with a strong passion and enthusiasm for the industry
