Cleaning Operative

Location: Mallusk area, Northern Ireland

Rate: £12.41 per hour

Position Type: Permanent, 20hrs contract

**About the Role**

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our client’s team on a temporary basis in the Mallusk area. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across both warehouse and office environments, ensuring all areas are hygienic, safe, and presentable.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Office Cleaning: Vacuuming carpets, wiping desks, sanitising communal areas (kitchens, restrooms), and replenishing supplies.
- General Upkeep: Reporting any maintenance issues, restocking consumables (soap, paper towels), and ensuring all cleaning equipment is stored correctly.
- Flexibility: Adapting to rota changes and last-minute cover requirements due to staff absence or operational demands.

**Working pattern**
- Morning (e.g. 06:00-10.00)

**Requirements**:

- Previous cleaning experience preferred (warehouse/industrial or office environments).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
- Physically fit, able to handle repetitive tasks and lifting of cleaning equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability.
- Basic understanding of health & safety and COSHH regulations is an advantage.
