**THE SCHOOL**

- Main school site in Totnes. There is a second school site on the Dartington Estate, where the role will predominantly be based.

**THE JOB**
- To provide the school with effective administrative support.
- To be the first point of contact for both telephone and face to face enquiries at the school for pupils, staff and members of the public
- To ensure the school’s security and safeguarding arrangements are always complied with, including sign in system, stay safe app and visitor checks
- To maintain accurate and organised pupil records, both paper, electronic and online, in all areas of pupil documentation and record keeping
- To securely manage visitor access to the school site
**THE PERSON**
- Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent)
- A willingness to participate in training where learning needs are identified
- Strong experience of working as an administrator - working as a school administrator would be a distinct advantage
- Professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including IT proficiency
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Driving licence and own car

**SALARY**:
Salary £24,420 per annum.
**WORKING HOURS**:
Full-time: 845am to 445pm Monday to Friday. Part-time will be considered

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 therefore certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’, so they do not need to be disclosed, and if they are disclosed, we cannot take them into account.
