**Trainee Sales Administrator/Accounts Assistant**

Malcolm Waite Ltd. is an independent car dealership which has been established in Sandwich since 1976 with branches in Sandwich, Deal and Dover. The dealership encompasses all aspects of a Motor Dealership with the sale of quality assured used cars, parts, service and valet departments and also an attended petrol forecourt

As the business grows, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our small administration team. The successful applicant should be willing to learn all aspects of the day to day processes associated with the administration and accounting roles of the business as required by the Office Manager.

This is a varied role and duties will cover the following at various times:
**Switchboard and reception**:
Answering the telephone and re-directing calls to the correct department/person.

Meeting and greeting clients in the showroom and ensuring that they are looked after. Hosting client, making tea & coffee and cleaning up afterwards.

**Sales Administration**:
Assisting with all aspects of the Sales Administrator role and covering for holidays etc.

**Sales Marketing**:
Assisting with our website, stock management and online web enquiries.

**Accounts**:
Assisting with the day to day accounting processes including reconciling forecourt, service and parts sales and purchase ledger processes. Covering for holidays as required.

**Service bookings and follow-ups**:
Making service and MOT bookings for our Ford Authorised workshops. Sending customer reminders when due and making follow up calls to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied.

This is only a snap-shot of the scope of this position so the successful applicant should be flexible and willing to learn and carry out the different roles as required.

Applicants should have a good level of education. There may be opportunities in the future for the right applicant to progress within the company.

Hours of work will be 09.00 - 17.30 with one hour for lunch five days per week including every Saturday with a day off in the week.

Four weeks holiday per year plus all bank holidays. Company pension scheme where eligible. Salary will be paid at minimum wage depending on age of applicant.

Administrative Duties:

- Scheduling
- Carrying out requests from management as needed
- Answering phone calls and transferring them as necessary
- Managing website functions and social media
- Greeting and welcoming visitors
- Administration and preparation of deal files for used car sales

Financial Duties:

- Expense reports
- Processing payments
- Billing

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £6.83-£9.50 per hour
