Rosehill House is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant with a level 3 diploma / NVQ in health and social care who is capable of providing both personal and professional care to our residents who have a range of health issues that include dementia and fraility of older age / physical disabilities.

The position requires a high level of sensitivity, compassion and patience with residents, as well as the ability to supervise and lead the care staff and administer medications.

The Senior Care Assistant should have strong personal relationship skills and work well in a team setting.

**Responsibilities**:

- To provide leadership to the care staff within the service
- To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations, under the direction of the Manager / Assistant Manager
- To supervise the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards
- To maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may, from time-to-time, be required to maintain practices as up to date.
- To cover call as part of the roll.

- Help to ensure the health, safety and well being of our residents.
- Assist people with the activities of daily living such as dressing and bathing.
- Provide personal care and supportive assistance to those in need of additional assistance due to illness or disability.
- Work closely with other staff members, volunteers and family members.
- Have knowledge of different health conditions, medications and treatments.
- Posess effective communication skills.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£12.90 per hour
