**Weekends Activities Coordinator - The Grange Care Home, in Newport near Saffron Walden -Part of the Country Court Family**

**Hours: 15 hours each weekend** (Hours 0900-1700 every Saturday & Sunday)**

**Are you a passionate & creative and love to interact with people? The Grange are looking for an Activities Coordinator to join there team**

The Grange Care Home offers family-led residential and specialist dementia care for up to 40 residents. Situated in the Debden Grange Retirement Village, our care home is close to Saffron Walden and just a short drive from Cambridge.

**Do you have creative flare & want to make a difference everyday?**

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator with creative flare and out-of-the box thinking to organise, run events and activities for our residents.

**What you will be doing: It’s hard to capture everything but we’ve jotted down a few key parts of the role below**:

- Organise varied activities within the Home to cater for a variety of interests and life stories for individuals, small groups and large numbers of residents.
- Meet targets set out to improve our resident’s lives which includes getting to know every resident through our 'Resident of the Day’ programme
- Work together with other local community groups and the wider local area.
- Bring fun, ideas, and energy into our residents’ lives Inspire others through great relationships, to deliver a range of thought-provoking wellbeing ideas
- Coordinate a wide range of trips & experiences within the local area for small groups & individuals
- Arrange key events throughout the year, such as seasonal celebrations & charity events

**About You**

We are looking for someone who is friendly, welcoming, and entertaining, and would ensure all activities are appropriate for all residents.
- An understanding of care sector would be advantageous
- Have a friendly & caring attitude
- Good planning & development skills
- Able to engage well with the residents and their families
- Be proactive, passionate, and supportive team player, with experience of maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
- You will be going out and about, networking, planning activities and with residents therefore having access to your own vehicle with business Insurance is essential

Due to the nature of the Activities Coordinator role, you will need to pay £22.00 towards the cost of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, prior to starting with us.

**Covid Safety**
