The role is based in the University of Sussex Business School, working within the Student Experience team. The team provide a wealth of support to our vibrant international community of students throughout their academic journey.

This includes, but is not limited to:

- Providing students with advice, guidance and information relating to their engagement with their studies, their wellbeing and opportunities to build skills and enhance career prospects.
- Monitoring student engagement and providing stakeholders with data and insights on student attendance and engagement.
- Oversight of the Student Mentor scheme, recruitment of Student Ambassadors and collaboration with the Students’ Union to support the Student Rep Scheme.
- The supporting and organisation of school events, international study trips, school committees and student recruitment events.

The key focus of this role will be to identify students who may be struggling academically or with personal matters and to ensure they are provided with the means to access support which is relevant to their circumstances. This is an analytical role that requires good technological skills, along with the ability to deal sensitively with the support needs of our student cohort. The role serves as a point of contact and link between students, staff members, internal departments, and external contacts. The role holder provides clerical and administrative support ensuring that the processes and services for which they are responsible operate smoothly.
