We have gone through significant growth over the last 2 years here at Gardiner Bros Ltd, from partnering with more of the UK & Europe’s largest Retailers and onboarding exciting additional brands to our portfolio, to acquiring an additionally 2 Warehouses givingus an additional 120,000 Square foot of Distribution & office space.

We have created an opening for a Finance Business Partner to join us in a new role to move around the business. The Finance Business Partner will get to know and work closely with our departments one by one, analyse spend and data, and advise on changesand improvements that can be made to add value to the department and business as a whole.

**What are we looking for in a Finance Business Partner:
**This is a new role within the business, so we are looking for someone who has commercial awareness and strong strategic knowledge. At Gardiner’s, we are always looking ahead so someone who is forward-thinking and has the ability to look at the biggerpicture would be a great team fit.

As this is a new role someone who has experience of working within a similar role would be a real benefit as they would have the ability with the support and training of their manager to really come in and really make the role their own. We are looking forsomeone who is able to focus on adding value to the business and the impact this has, not just looking at the data produced

**We are also looking for someone**:

- With a strong knowledge and understanding of how finances work within a business
- Great at building relationships with people of all levels within the business
- Comfortable working with large amounts of financial data
- Confident to challenge people if required
- Culturally sensitive to how the changes are made
- Who is a strong communicator, both written and verbally
- The ability to convert the numbers into stories for the non-financial-minded to understand and relate to.
- Previous experience working within Retail, Wholesale, or Distribution would also be beneficial.

**What will the Finance Business Partner role entail?
**The Financial Business Partner will be analysing what we are doing now and identifying where we can improve, providing the Directors & Heads of with an insight to the financials of the department and working with them to add value.

**To do this you will**:

- Have a day-to-day involvement in the company’s management accounts
- Compare forecasts 'V’s Budget
- Interpret, order, and asses data to present back to stakeholders
- Produce forecasts both on how the department looks now and how it will look after the changes
- Maintain and build a working knowledge of our industry
- Spend time with key stakeholders to identify areas where value can be added
- Effectively communicate the change to all levels
- Monitor the KPI’s of the department following the change
- Provide regular support and feedback to the departmental Heads/Directors to ensure continual improvement
- Assist the Heads of and Managers with future departmental budgeting
- Be a partner for all areas of the business to come to for advice and guidance when required
