Wadethorpe is currently recruiting for a core team of Cooks, the position will be working at various Care homes within the Cheshire area to prepare nutritional meals for elderly residents. As Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards and with the correct use of all equipment and materials.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To plan and provide nutritious meals to all residents on a daily basis.
- Discuss menus with the assistant cook and the Home Manager to ensure a balanced diet is maintained.
- Ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen, to meet the required standards of practice prescribed by Environmental Health Agencies
- Ensure planned menus are offered that reflect choice and preference.
- Ensure that all machines are used correctly, cleaned and stored. Any faults or damage is to be reported immediately.
- Ensuring the correct storage and rotation of stocks.
- Maintaining cleaning schedules for the kitchen, equipment and associated areas.

**Essential Skills**
Food Hygiene Certified Level 2 as a minimum. Own transport helpful, but not essential, as homes are close to public transport links.
