Our award-winning landscape architecture practice is growing, with teams in Arup that are linked through a global network. With our headquarters in London and offices across the UK, we regularly work with our international studios including Hong Kong, New York, and Sydney. We are an integrated team of landscape designers and landscape planners, with projects including landscape assessment and strategy, LVIA, green infrastructure strategies, concept design, masterplanning, detailed design, landscape management, visualisations and 3D modelling. We work side by side with a wide range of Arup’s other specialist disciplines including urban design, ecology, town planning, digital technology, engineering, cost consulting and project management.

**About the role**
We’re currently looking for a Landscape Architect with a strong interest in landscape planning to join our team based in our offices in London.
You will be working alongside an unrivalled community of experts, who will support and nurture your growth from the outset. In return, you’ll help us deliver effective and professional services in a wide range of sectors for varied and high-profile clients. The Arup portfolio is exciting and diverse, exposing you to a range of project scales and types, each offering their own opportunity for tailored personal development.
**About you**
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- A degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or Landscape Management.
- CMLI accreditation or working towards CMLI accreditation and with good knowledge of professional ethics and ethical framework.
- A good understanding of the UK planning system and how our work relates to it
- Confident and articulate written communication with strong report writing skills.
- Demonstrable experience of landscape / environmental planning work (typically 2-3 years) including experience of contributing to written documents in support of planning, such as ES chapters, preparing LVIAs, sensitivity studies and landscape/ townscape character assessments.
- Strong team working skills.
- A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; experience of using GIS is desirable.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
- Contribution to the landscape profession, for example through supporting Landscape Institute branch activities;
- Specific sector experience in areas such as infrastructure, commercial development, urban regeneration, residential, education, health, energy, historic buildings and landscape planning strategic policy;
- Experience of and an interest in stakeholder engagement
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure, environment and transport projects
- Previous track record in building relationships with clients.
- Experience of managing projects and fee budgets, or a desire to develop the necessary skills.
