Healthcare Assistant

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support 2 service users with their complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service users are twin siblings who live with their family in High Spen, West Gateshead and require 1:1 support throughout the day and night.

They love going to school, stories, music, going for walks and animals. The family lives in a fully adapted home, with the children’s bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor.

Duties and requirements will be to assist with a mixture of personal and medical care, and attendance at social activities. While this role involves some quite complex medical and personal care, applicants should be aware that the service users are children first, who love to have fun.

A full, clean driving licence is essential as driving a Motability vehicle may be required. In addition, the late/early hours and rural location will require applicants to have their own transport. Due to the children’s health needs, a non-smoker is preferred.

**Our service users has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.**

**Essential Experience Required**
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence
- Access to own vehicle

**Desirable Experience**
- Non-Smoker
- Gastrostomy Care
- Tracheostomy Care

**We have the following shifts available;**
- Full Time and Part Time
- Days and Nights
- Including weekdays and weekends
- Must be flexible to cover days and nights

**Take a look at our payrates**

Weekdays £14.00 per hour (£140 approx per 10 hour shift)

Weeknights £14.50 per hour (£145 approx per 10 hour shift)

Saturday £15.00 per hour (£150 approx per 10 hour shift)

Sunday £15.00 per hour (£150 approx per 10 hour shift)

Bank Holiday £17.50 per hour (£175 approx per 10 hour shift)
