We are looking for a highly motivated individual to take on the role of Instrument Build Team Lead within Production Engineering. This role will suit someone with a background in prototype and production environments and who has team lead experience.

Other responsibilities include:

- Stock management through the build areas
- Assisting the progression of prototype builds with a view to developing into production assemblies
- Electronics component soldering and rework, PCB modifications, cable assembling
- Providing support to resolve technical issues, ensuring all investigation work is documented, with the aim to reduce cost and improve reliability, while following current quality standards
- Defining and documenting clear written specifications and work instructions to ensure effective and efficient product assembly and test
- Maintaining a safe, clean and clear working environment ensuring all company and regulatory standards are achieved at all times
- Handling the first point of contact people issues raised by engineering technicians

What We're Looking For...
We'll expect you to have previous experience of working in a prototype and production environment and ideally the ability to assemble and develop complex electromechanical products.

You are familiar with basic mechanical and electronics engineering principles and you have hands-on technical ability to work with complex instruments, undertake component soldering and rework, PCB modifications and mechanical assembly.

Ideally, you're proficient in Microsoft Office and have some knowledge of quality management systems.

In addition, you have a track record of leading a team, you're someone with a positive, can-do attitude, an excellent team player and you're comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision.
GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) are required, and any other relevant engineering qualifications would be a bonus.
