Job Summary The postholder will oversee the delivery of a high-quality specialist service for families with young people who have complex behavioural problems and anti-social behaviours. Referrals come from Early Help and Social Care, where there is risk of the young person going into care. The postholder will deliver or be trained to deliver supervision to staff alongside another supervisor in the team and offer case consultations with referrers in social care, YOT, and early help services. The postholder is expected to work autonomously within agreed professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the effective governance of psychological and systemic practice within the service.
In particular, the postholder is expected to ensure that all FFT Workers adhere to the principles of the FFT model in how case interventions are conceptualised, devised and delivered, including how risks are managed and mitigated. The postholder will be responsible for securing and maintaining a clear referral pathway in collaboration with the Programme Manager and Suffolk stakeholders. A requirement of the job is to carry out audit, policy and service development activities. As part of an outcome based contract, you will be responsible for facilitating data collection and liaising with Bridges Social outcomes team to ensure that KPI's are met.
The postholder will have a case load of up to three families and carry out multiple consultations with referrers to assess eligibility for intervention. The postholder will be responsible for suggesting and implementing policy and service development changes within the organisation, in line with the KPI's. Working Environment The FFT team is located within Suffolk. Group supervision will be carried out weekly, alternately one week face-to-face in a dedicated room and one week virtually.
Other work will be carried out in shared office spaces to support interagency working. The post involves sessions carried out in the home environments of clients, which may result in exposure to unpleasant conditions, associated with offending behaviour, abuse and/or neglect. This involves possible exposure to difficult family situations, verbal aggression and violence or abuse of all kinds. Working hours can vary, and some evening sessions will be required to meet the availability of families and to be available for therapists.
