An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Catering Department in this multifaceted sports venue in Guildford, Surrey for a passionate, self-motivated and highly organised Sous Chef to join the team.
This Sous Chef role is varied in nature, servicing the Bar, hospitality, events and catering for professional sports teams.
The Role:
To support and work alongside the Head Chef to effectively manage all kitchen operations for the bar, professional sports team catering and all hospitality events, including managing the kitchen team, menu creation and preparation, achieve the highest standardof food production whilst controlling and managing the food cost in line with the budget and ensuring compliance with the department's food safety management system.
Key Requirements:

- Great food production and delivery, maintaining quality and consistency
- Deputy for the Head Chef, so strong supervisory/managerial confidence and capability
- Excellent customer care, role will be liaising with internal and external customers
- Maintaining service and standards - ensure they are maintained across the department.
- Experience in medium size volume catering
This Sous Chef role would suit an existing Junior Sous/Sous/Senior Chef de Partie ready for the next step.
Hours of work are 40 per week, 5 days out of 7.
