**About Us**:
Douglas Bader is a welcoming and vibrant pub offering great food, drinks, and a friendly atmosphere. We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. If you have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoy creating delicious, comforting meals, we want to hear from you

**Hours**:

- Up to 16 hours (across weekdays, weekends and evenings)
- Opportunity for more shifts to cover staff holiday and sickness
- Weekly rota

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard in a timely manner.
- Ensure food is cooked, presented, and served according to company specifications and hygiene standards.
- Assist in menu planning and preparation of daily specials.
- Assist in monitoring and managing kitchen stock levels, ordering supplies as needed.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized, following food safety and cleanliness guidelines.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cook in a pub, restaurant, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with pub-style food and understanding of food trends.
- Experience working in a fast paced kitchen.
- Specific qualifications not essential as training will be provided.
