**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, manage and inspire a team of dedicated and passionate music teachers.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that provides students with opportunities to explore and develop their musical talents.
- Ensure that the department meets or exceeds all targets, and that students achieve their potential.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department, making changes where necessary.
- Promote the importance of music education within the school and wider community.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross-curricular opportunities and experiences.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of leading a successful Music Department or similar experience.
- Proven track record of improving outcomes for students.
- Ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
