The Mental Health division of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust comprises of three directorates; Adult Mental Health, Mental Health Services for Older People and Specialist Services. The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service offers treatment for children and young people up to the age of 18 for mild to severe emotional and mental health needs. There are four multi-disciplinary Community Teams supporting Nottinghamshire along with specialist teams such as Eating Disorders, Head 2 Head, CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment, CAMHS Neuro, Children Looked After & Adoption, Primary Mental Health, Perinatal services and East Midlands Community Forensic Child & Adolescent Health Service (FCAMHS).
Our core purpose is to work with children and young people and their families/carers, who may be experiencing emotional and mental health disorders that have a significant impact on the child’s development and cause distress to the child and/or their carers. We aim to improve the mental health of all children and young people with the provision of a timely, integrated, high quality, effective, multi-disciplinary county wide service.

Clinical Team Leader - The Lookout Hopewood Hospital
Hopewood Hospital in Sherwood, Nottingham is a brand new building that opened in June 2018. This new build created a large expansion of our CAMHS service that was previously based at Thorneywood.
The expansion has created 2 further CAMHS wards and an increase in beds from 13 to 32 and is based on site with an education facility for our inpatients, a CAMHS community base with specialist teams and both inpatient and community perinatal teams.
Currently Hercules Ward has an exciting opportunity for an experienced RMN or RNLD to join our teams.
Hercules is an 8 bedded CAMHS PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Unit). We care for young people aged 13-18 with a variety of mental health issues who present with a higher level of risk to themselves or others. We have a wide ranging MDT and work with young people ideally for up to 8 weeks. We support young people stepping up from wards such as Phoenix or from the community.
Our team leaders have a key clinical role within a well established multidisciplinary team. Approximately half of shifts will take on the senior nurse on site role and responsibility for managing staffing, acuity and referrals in to service as well as other key clinical and operational issues. You will need to demonstrate that you have experience of working with people with mental health problems and supporting carers /families in an acute environment. You should have a working knowledge of the management of safeguarding processes, have excellent communication and leadership skills & be willing to work across a 24 hour/7 day rota across all 3 wards on a rotational basis.
