**Introduction**:
Join the housekeeping team at Thornford Park in Thatcham as a Housekeeper Assistant and maintain a clean and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, as well as staff and visitors.

You will work 25 hours a week and you will actively participate in the delivery of the housekeeping service to ensure pre-determined standards of visual biology cleanliness are continually achieved across the hospital site.

You will be responsible for deep cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors’ areas.

Working alongside the housekeeping team, you will follow and promote Elysium's cleanliness standards to maintain the safety of service users, staff and visitors at all times.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring all aspects of Housekeeping duties are carried out to a high standard and maintained.
- Undertake cleaning of communal areas like offices, Dining room etc around the Hospital.
- Ensure Elysium policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Complete daily paperwork of your work schedule on a tick sheet.
- Attend any training required and ensure this is up to date.
- Any other reasonable requests from the Housekeeping Manager or supervisor.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- A good standard of English, as communication is imperative.
- An enthusiastic approach to your role, along with a good level of physical stamina owing to the nature of the role.
- Understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety in the workplace would be an advantage (training will be given).
- To be flexible as the role is 5/7, as some weekend work may be required, including Bank Holidays.
- To be able to work as part of a large team.
