Head of Estates - Poole - Salary up to £56,592
Our client based in Poole is looking for a person to become the Head of Estates within their Capital Projects Team. You will be responsible for project leadership on construction projects, co-ordinating the design element and managing technical and professional consultants. This is a senior role within the Estates Services team so must have prior knowledge regarding estate development.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide project leadership for construction projects, procuring and managing technical and professional consultants, including, but not limited to architectural, engineering and surveying services.
- Review the continuous development and improvement of ongoing projects and ensure the processes and policies are effective throughout.
- Co-ordinating project management and design development of both preconstruction and construction phases of the project life cycle which will include drawings, project execution plans and programmes, site surveys, design and specification, procurement of tenders, site inspections, contract administration and cost control.
- Develop project briefs and clarify client requirements through close working relationships with key internal stakeholders and project sponsors
- Ensure that building works under your control are completed in accordance with the agreed programmes and cost limits.
- Consult with key stakeholders within Estates Services and advice on space allocations and layout planning, digital infrastructure, technical specifications, and equipment.
- Ensure that all statutory requirements including planning consents, building regulations and other mandatory stipulations are sought in a timely manner and fully complied with for works under their control.
- Develop a good understanding of the site’s space utilisation and identify suitable and required projects solve space challenges.
- Provide both technical and strategic advice on the development and maintenance of buildings within the estate
- To be proactive in identifying energy saving and to implement the Net Zero Management Plan and meet agreed targets.
- To produce reports and financial information, building cost advice, budgets, and cash flow profiles; maintain monthly progress and cost records for works under their control.
- Be accountable for the maintenance of detailed electronic filing records throughout the lifecycle of construction projects and post-completion
- Produce business cases and feasibility reports, option appraisals, management information and strategic reviews

The salary for this role is between £50,300 to £56,592 depending on experience. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm and Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm equating to 37 hours per week. This is a hybrid based role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
