Applecross is a family run care home. We care for elderly residents and also have a specialist unit that cares for younger people. Since 1997, Applecross has provided expert care for people with physical disabilities and other illnesses that require short-term or long-term nursing support.

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance/Accounts assistant, who is enthusiastic and driven and has a ‘can do’ attitude to join our office team. As our finance assistant your primary focus will be to support the finance manager. You will also be responsible for delivering high standards of financial administration for the business, in particular monies flowing in and out of the organisation. This role will best suit a motivated, focused and hard-working individual who can work to tight deadlines while also demonstrating good communication skills, both verbal and written.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Processing a high volume of invoices
- Ensure all invoices are posted in a timely manner
- Accurate processing and allocation of payments
- Accurate coding of all invoice to system
- Review monthly bank statements and reconcile
- Management of petty cash
- Management of residents finances?
- Maintain good supplier relationships
- Ensure that all files are maintained and kept up to date with the relevant documentation and assist with year-end audit requests
- Supplier statement reconciliation

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience/knowledge working with Sage or other related finance software (2 years required)
- Experience/knowledge working with MS Office (Excel & Word)
- Excellent numeracy skills and ability to reconcile accurately
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible attitude and the ability to work successfully in a close team environment
- Strong IT skills
- Attention to detail
