**Our expanding third sector client with 80 staff and a £10m t/o requires a solutions-focused, trusted advisory in a brand-new Head of Organisational Development post. This is a key role in the structure of the organisation following an exciting periodof positive change including the appointment of a new CEO and Executive Team.**
**Reporting to the CEO and having significant interaction with a strong, innovative, forward -thinking and skills-based Board, the new HOD will have 2 x reports including one HRBP and one HR Assistant.**
**Working across the entire business, you will operate at a strategic level and act as a key business partner to all areas. Working closely with all seniormanagement, you will be instrumental in helping to shape the future direction and culture. You will provide regular advice and information to the executive team and board and take lead on providing up to date information on all people relatedmatters.**
**The solutions-focused HOD will passionately support the organisation in its continued growth by developing its people and ensuring they have the correct skills, resources and culture to progress with its long term strategic objectives. The post willplay a key role in championing values and further enhancing the culture. The role will also provide expert HR advice to ensure sound business decisions are made for the benefit of colleagues. The post is key to setting the culture and tone around communicationand engagement with its colleagues.**
**This role will ensure that the organisation is at the forefront of employee engagement and maximises its potential by having a robust plan for supporting and developing colleagues to be the best they can be in their roles. You will ensure that newways of working and fresh approaches are considered to achieve continuous improvement across all areas of the business.**
**This is a fully agile role allowing the HOD to flexibly work the contracted 35 hours per week how and where they choose. The organisation operates a 9 day fortnight with every other Friday off. The Exec Team are on site a half to 1 day per week andmeet in a newly revamped office offering a pleasant work environment in a town centre which has recently been regenerated.**
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**
- Leading on the delivery of the People strategy
- Providing expert guidance and advice on all HR related matters across the business
- Overseeing employee wellbeing programme
- Working closely with Executive Directors and Board to provide advice on high level matters and strategic direction
- Regular reporting to the Remuneration and People Committee on progress against key strategies
- Liaising and working with our external HR legal advisors where required
- Championing and leading on our EDI strategy, including maintaining our QED accreditation and delivering on the action plan for our Deeds not words pledge
- Creating and overseeing the employee engagement plan
- Oversee the annual Best Companies Accreditation and utilise survey response data and core themes to inform business planning
- Creating and overseeing the succession planning and workforce strategy
- Leading on the onboarding experience for new colleagues joining the organsation
- Leading on our approach to recruitment and selection across the business
- Overseeing all HR policies and procedures to ensure business excellence and innovation across the business
- Overall responsibility for co-ordinating and delivering against People related Key Performance indicators
- Working closely with other Heads of Service to ensure robust day to day running of all operational matters across the business
- Budget Management
- Leading on approach to sector wide people related matters / policies / agenda
- Line Management of the HR Business partner and Administrative Officer
- Responsible for embedding risk management strategy throughout the department
- Champion a health and safety culture throughout the team and organisation, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and regulatory frameworks and RHA policies and procedures.
- Be aware of your own responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act and other safety regulations to ensure that safe working practices and procedures are adopted, undertaking training as/when required.
- This post on occasion will require the post holder to work flexibly including some evenings.
- In line with Data Protection legislation, adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality and data management, following the Association’s processes at all times. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development for self and others.
