We are proud to the be the largest family owned and family run wine importer in the UK, and we have been trading since 1964.

We are now seeking a proactive and hands-on multi-drop Delivery Driver on a temporary contract for an **immediate start until 24 December 2024**. You will need good knowledge of the motorway network across the North, our York depot will cover the West to East coast from the top of the Midlands as far up as Alnwick and everything in between.

You will need experience with multi-drop deliveries and will provide exceptional customer service: you will be delivering to premium bars, restaurants, hotels and more. Our drivers are our ambassadors.

From day one, you will be welcomed into the Berkmann family and will be the face of our business, delivering wine and spirits and delighting our customers whatever the weather.

We understand that you have a life and commitments outside of work, so we offer permanent 40 hour week contracts (no overnights). The working pattern is Monday 09:00 - 18:00 and Tuesday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

Our driving team work very closely with the warehouse team; one cannot work without the support of the other. This means that you will be asked to work in the warehouse on ‘quiet’ days or days when you have fewer deliveries than normal. This teamwork is what makes our family company successful.

Driver and software training may be carried out at our York depot. Uniform is provided and you are expected to maintain a clean and tidy delivery vehicle.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Strong knowledge of the North road network and experience delivering into the service industry is vital
- Good experience of being a multi drop driver
- Excellent oral communication and time management skills essential
- Exceptional customer service skills, polite, helpful and positive attitude
- Ability to carry cases of wine which on average weigh 15kg
- Valid UK driver’s licence (due to our insurance policy this must be a UK driving licence)
- Valid Driver CPC and Tacho Card is desirable
