**What will I be doing?**

As a grad you will assist Building Surveyors in the delivery of building surveying services, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects for new builds. You will also renovations and maintenance works - from feasibility through to design, contract administration to handover and post completion reviews.

**Your other responsibilities will include**:

- Submissions for planning and building regulation approvals
- Tender documentation and managing the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Evaluating and reporting on tenders
- Administration of construction contracts
- Preparing reports for customers
- Undertaking party wall surveyor duties
- Undertaking quality monitoring roles of major construction projects.
- Ensuring that all quantitative and financial information has been independently checked before issue, including maintaining evidence of independent checks.

During the graduate program at Gleeds you will:

- Successfully complete the Gleeds internal APC preparation programme.
- Begin working towards Chartered status Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

**About You**:
**What do I need to be successful?**

You will have to currently hold:

- Degree in Building Surveying (preferred RICS accredited)
or
- Degree In Quantity Surveying (preferred RICS accredited)
or
- Other relevant degree field

We are looking for ambitious, hardworking and talented people with a desire to learn, understand and challenge the world around them.

You will need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, brilliant attention to detail and good relationship building skills. You will be working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across multiple sectors and industries.
