Title: Part time/Fractional Project and Communications Manager/Director
Our client is a major tech community, recognised for creating a space that brings people together and lifts the entire tech community. They are involved in running regular events and initiatives that provide networking opportunities, career development, learningopportunities and overall a safe and supportive space for its thousands of members.
They are looking for a part-time/fractional project and communication manager or director. This is largely about communication and executing projects. Someone confident to speak with the leaders of the community to understand the wider strategies, vision andgoals, then communicating those to the wider membership. Essentially leading meetings and one to one discussions, collecting, curating and distilling information to be shared. Creating projects from those strategies which they will execute themselves or manageothers around.
The successful person must have a warm personality able to build rapport through written, verbal and face to face communication. A master communicator and executor, a manager, happy to distill, execute and communicate other people’s ideas and visions. We expectapplicants to have managed projects and perhaps small teams in the past. Someone experienced enough to deal with senior people and strong personalities, communicating vision/strategies, suitably experienced to be held accountable for the success of projects.
They are open to hiring at the manager or director level, depending on prior experience. The hours are flexible, the role is remote but this is very much a part-time role and would not suit someone looking for a full-time position. We believe it would suitsomeone looking to move to a portfolio career, who is currently looking for additional clients.
What would really make someone stand out would be if they ultimately love people, enjoy helping people and making the world a better place. Any experience in tech would be a bonus but not essential
