Principal Consultant

**Location**: Flexibly remote from one of our UK hubs (Bristol, London, Manchester or Oxford)

**Contract**: Full-time

**Key Responsibilities**:
The role within the team will see you working across varied client types, from apparel and retailing, to technology, manufacturing and financial services. Your tasks as a Principal Consultant within the team will include:

- Deliver on-site and remote reporting, strategy, materiality and double materiality support, and on-going programme management services.
- Setting sustainability & ESG goals and KPIs for clients in line with best-practice standards and aligned to commercial priorities.
- Consulting on ESG reporting frameworks including ISSB, GRI, SASB and alignment with mainstream business processes. This includes identifying, managing, and implementing robust, auditable, digital-first approaches to data management where required.
- Develop creative sustainability concepts and content and the integration of concepts into mainstream communications.
- Engaging with, and presenting to a wide a range of stakeholders including C-suite audiences
- Lead in developing, selling, and delivering existing and new products and services, including leading pitches with clients.
- Line management responsibilities within the team

You will be expected to lead in client projects and proposals and to deliver tasks on time and within budget.

**Summary of role**:
Anthesis’ ESG & Sustainability Strategy team operates predominantly in the private sector, focusing on:

- The interface between brand, purpose, sustainability & ESG
- Understanding material risks and opportunities relevant to our clients’ activities
- Defining commercially relevant sustainability targets and ambitions, with associated metrics
- Developing and translating sustainability strategies into creative concepts that can be used across communication channels
- Engaging a diverse range of stakeholders and encouraging them to take bolder actions to have more impact
- Supporting sustainability communications planning and activation, including sustainability reporting
- Working closely with other Anthesis teams on the implementation of sustainability strategies

To sustain the growth in activity in our service area from domestic and global clients, we are keen to provide additional support to the team to expand to meet our clients’ needs in this exciting area of strategy development.

The role is based in one of Anthesis’ Bristol, London, Manchester or Oxford offices, but the dynamic nature of our work may necessitate you to work from other Anthesis and/or clients’ offices from time-to-time. Additionally, given the international nature of the Anthesis business and the needs of our clients, this may lead to participation in overseas work. **Key Requirements**:

- 5-7 years experience in a consulting or in an in-house role focusing on sustainability & ESG
