**What will be your role in the company?**
- The Demand Planner II is a pivotal role that combines analytical insight with hands-on coordination of repairable stock and supplier performance. This position is responsible for analysing material consumption, supplier lead times, and repair cycles to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimise risks across CAF UK’s supply chain. The role requires direct engagement with suppliers and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate data, continuous improvement, and robust materials availability aligned with project requirements.
- Your daily duties will include:
- Analyse material consumption and repair data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare monthly reports on repair turnaround times, supplier performance, and inventory impact.
- Liaise directly with suppliers to expedite repair orders and resolve operational issues.
- Track and maintain accurate records of repairable items in CAF systems.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for shortages or stock risks, proposing corrective actions.
- Produce dashboards and KPIs for supplier performance, turnaround times, stock coverage, and logistics costs.
- Participate in supplier performance reviews in coordination with UK Purchasing.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to align repair and stock activities with project demands.
- Maintain data integrity in CAF ERP systems including GMAO (current) and SAP (future).
- Ensure HSQE compliance and support internal audit activities.
- Drive improvements in repair processes to reduce risk and cost.
- Provide ad hoc support on systems, processes, and administrative tasks as required by the line manager.
- Carry out other duties to meet the evolving needs of CAF UK.
**What salary will you be paid for this role?**
- As a Real Living Wage Employer, we are proud to pay competitively at CAF. For this role you will be offered a salary in the region of £35,000 and £37,000 per annum.
**What will make you successful in this position?**
- To succeed in this role you will need:
- English language and Maths standard grade 3 or above (or equivalent).
- CIPS qualified or working towards is desirable
- Relevant experience in stock inventory and repair stock management.
- Background in engineering or industrial environments (manufacturing or depot operations preferred).
- Proficient in ERP systems (GMAO, SAP) and data analysis tools.
- Advanced Excel skills including use of macros, pivot tables, and formulas.
- SAP experience required.
- Full Microsoft package proficiency [Word, Excel, Powerpoint].
