We are looking for a **Meter Reader** who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

This role is predominantly covering East Anglia including travel into central London by public transport. There is also a requirement to cover East Sussex/Kent when necessary.

This role involves a significant amount of driving on a daily basis

**As the Meter Reader your key responsibilities are**
- Capturing water meter reading data from water customer’s meters, using the software provided, within set timescales as directed by the cyclical meter reading schedule
- Supporting the delivery of the department’s KPI for meter reading
- Providing reasons if water meter is unable to be read
- Receiving and transmitting meter reads via handheld units
- Entering into buildings to gain meter reads from riser cupboards, corridors and customers property where the meter is internal

**About you**
- Excellent customer service skills
- Driving licence essential
- Experience of the utility industry desirable
- A knowledge of health and safety standards
- Ability to use Microsoft Office or equivalent
