Full job description We are looking for talented individuals that have experience of working with Young People within the care sector. Providing Care is an independent company with strong core values based on developing a caring and supportive environment for young people who have Attachment and trauma difficulties. We are seeking a Senior Support Worker who can support our Young People and who will take responsibility for the young people and the staff within our setting. We are looking for innovative individuals who have experience with the challenges of working in an Ofsted Registered Placements. As a senior staff member, you will assist the manager to manage the company's resources and to provide a positive living experience for the young people. You will report directly to the registered manager. Duties Include: Assist the Registered Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the company’s objectives. Working closely with the support team to develop and implement support plans and safety plans tailored to meet the needs of each young person, ensuring their well - being. To attend reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people. Undertake direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model. Assist in developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of support they receive. Maintain accurate written records in logs, and files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place. To work in partnership with local authorities, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people. Offer mentoring, role model and supervision to staff in line with Regulations. To ensure young people are safeguarded as appropriate. Create an open and supportive atmosphere within the company for staff members and young people, to enable the growth and development of both staff and young people. Ensure that the placement is safe and to provide a pleasant quality environment for the young people. To create and develop links between the community, to enable young people to participate fully in the local community life. To ensure the young people and staff are aware of all the procedures relating to complaints and concerns and how to activate them. To ensure the assessed needs of young people in the home are met on a day-to-day basis. Providing Care is committed to safeguarding, protection, and promoting of welfare of children. As part of our recruitment, selection, and appointment processes we conduct a range of vetting checks including Right to Work and Enhance DBS checks, to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children and vulnerable people are appointed. All successful applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service/Disclosure Scotland with a check against the “Barred children’s list” and at least 2 references that cover the period of at least the last 3 years of your employment as well as additional character references; for all our services we will request references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
